Who are You?
You 'WILL' be amazed when you finally 'DO' find out who you really are!
I hope this may help a few of you who are suffering like I did for many years with
‘THE ANXIETY STATE’ till I found the answer I was looking for.
Who are You?
Who are you? You are not who you think you are!
You can live through your entire life not knowing who you really are?
When you discover who you really are it can be totally liberating and mind blowing.
I will try and enlighten you with what I mean;
When I was young and innocent I suffered terribly with [OCD], this condition is where your thoughts are in constantly control over your actions. If I had an intrusive thought that if I didn’t touch an object in front of me, some terrible thing would happen to me, or one of my family. With this overwhelming emotion I would immediately obey my thoughts to stop this terrible thing from happening and to make everyone safe.
Who wouldn’t touch that object faced with this decision at that age? My innocence, and ignorance, allowed me to suffer ‘so long’ with this illness. It took me a long time to realise what was going on.
My [OCD] is still with me NOW at the age of 72 because it’s apart of me (it’s who I am) but it’s not ‘really’ me anymore! The one who makes the decisions ‘is the true me’.
I have learned to live with [OCD] by not letting it control my life anymore, it wasn’t easy but I made it easier, because I have developed a ‘MIND GUARD’ an Observer of my thoughts that sits on a shelf inside my head, the ‘MIND GUARD’ has a sneaky peek inside any thoughts that enter my head and decides whether to get involved or not, this ‘MIND GUARD’ understands all ‘Logic’ he traditionally defines the study of the laws of thought or correct reasoning, he is on constant alert throughout every day, he separates all the Wanted Messages (+) and throws out all the Junk Mail [-] {R} its like having an antivirus devise fitted to your computer/brain.
When I realised this, It was an ’EUREKA MOMENT’ that changed my entire life for the better.
I was ‘finally in control of my thinking’ I was not totally caught up with all the ‘SHIT’ my thoughts was telling me to do anymore.
I was like the Cool little old man sitting on the park bench watching all the children falling, laughing, crying, running and shouting.
He has seen it all before but he doesn’t get involved anymore, he can sit back and appreciate all the controversy. So like this cool little old man on the park bench, I Accepted all my thoughts that was swirling around in my head causing chaos, but it was not me, ‘I was not my thoughts anymore’.
I became the onlooker, that little cool old man sitting on the park bench, the observer the ‘MIND GUARD’ this is who I really am. I had found prospective of who I really was.
When you can enjoy life without being constantly being confined, and controlled by your thoughts anymore, this is a totally liberating experience.
Think of that cool wise little old man sitting on the park bench observing all the chaos of the kids playing around him, he is done with beating himself up by taking too much notice of all the chaos around him, or trying to control everything, and doesn’t waste time and energy fighting those thoughts anymore, he is in total Acceptance of his surroundings and doesn’t get caught up in all the drama.
He has given himself:
‘SPACE’
By not taking things in the moment so personally.
Most of our suffering in life is getting caught up in all the ‘DRAMA’ that our thoughts contain, and cause so much waisted energy, so much MISERY.
If you step to one side and give your ‘MIND GUARD’ full control and let it do its job and give your full trust in sorting the Positive (+) thoughts that enter your inbox, and throw all your Negative [-] and Repetitive {R} thoughts into your junk box, you will soon find your junk box will fill up a lot more quickly than you inbox.
This is who you really are. The observer of your thoughts, the one that’s in ‘FULL CONTROL’ of your actions, if my [OCD] tells me to touch an object or something terrible will happen now, my ‘MIND GUARD’ treats this as junk mail (a false alarm) that I choose NOT to respond to. I am in full control over my thoughts NOW, they are not running around (out of control) in my head, like those kids were in the park anymore.
Treat all your thoughts like a ‘Facebook Messenger Room’ you hear the ping go, you take a look at the messages, but you don’t respond to them, you don’t get involved, you stay out of the conversation and get on with your day, ‘how great does that make you feel?’ You are in full control, the rest of your group knows you have observed their messages, because your little thumbnail picture has appeared under their comments, but you have chosen NOT to get involved, how Gallant does that make you feel!
You have eventually found the real you, the one who is in full control and has ‘Developed Barriers’, and Boundaries, around yourself, and not the one who’s open and Exposed and swept away with every emotion or thought your brain comes up with, just like your inbox on your computer that is mostly full of totally crap emails.
(Thats what your junk box is for)
Change you’re thinking, and it will change your attitude. Change your attitude, and it will change your life.
You don’t need to continue to suffer and feel terrible, when you have the choice, and the ability, ‘AND THE POWER’ to change you’re thinking which will eventually happen but not immediately.

I hope one day I’ll get a change to sit on that park bench next to you and hear your words.
This spam folder idea is probably the best system I’ve ever heard of. I already practice it to some extent, but from now on I’ll tune it a bit more aggressively.
I’ll look into those books as soon as possible. I don’t have Amazon (lol, imagine that!). I’ll try to find them on other platforms. I only read printed books, never Kindle.
